The 2026 AMSOL Bursaries are now accepting applications from South African students interested in furthering their studies in the maritime, shipping, and marine related fields! AMSOL is pleased to announce that the bursary programme is fully funded and is designed to identify and develop the country’s future leaders in the maritime space. AMSOL is also keen to assist students who are keen on pursuing a career in the ocean economy.
AMSOL is a leading marine solutions company providing services in shipping, ports, offshore oil & gas, and environmental protection. To address the increased demand for talent in the maritime sector, AMSOL also established a bursary programme to provide deserving students with both financially and academically.
The AMSOL Bursaries 2026 will continue to provide students with an all-inclusive bursary that covers all necessary costs, while providing exposure to the industry and opportunities for enrichment!

- Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (Deck Officer)
AMSOL Bursaries 2026 Funding Package
The bursary provides coverage for tuition fees (minimum).
Depending on availability of funds and student circumstances, it may also cover:
- Textbooks
- Accommodation in residence
Note: Students are required to pay their own registration fees.
After graduation, bursary recipients may be required to take up employment with AMSOL, depending on operational requirements.
Who are Eligible to Apply African Marine Solutions (AMSOL)Bursary 2026
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have completed Matric or currently be in Matric (2025).
- Minimum of 60% (Level 5) in:
- English
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Must be studying or intend to study one of the listed qualifications in 2026.
- Must study at a recognised and accredited university or SAMSA-accredited training facility.
- Must not be in receipt of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year (unbonded).
