The Volkswagen Group Africa (VWGA) Bursary 2026 has called for applicants, which allows South African students a chance of a lifetime to pursue their studies in partnership with a global automotive leader. The VWGA Bursary Program works to identify and nurture talent to empower the youth and support education to create future professionals in the engineering, technology, business, and similar fields.
As part of its contribution to South Africa’s economic growth, the Volkswagen Group Africa is focused on youth empowerment and skills development. The VWGA Bursary Programme assists deserving students with financial assistance, mentorship and exposure to the rapidly developing automotive industry. The VWGA Bursary not only assists in reducing the financial burden of higher education but also opens doors to career opportunities within the company.

- Logistics & Supply Chain: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, BCom Logistics & Transport
- Finance & Business: BCom Finance, Bachelor of Accounting Science, BCom Strategy Development/Management
Note: This bursary is not open to Masters or Doctoral students.
Volkswagen Group Africa (VWGA) 2026 Funding Package
The bursary aims to address South Africa’s skills shortage by supporting academically strong youth. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive funding and career support, including:
- Full cover for tuition, registration fees, accommodation, meals, books and stationery
- Vacation work opportunities
- Mentorship and development
- Additional study support if required
- A laptop for study purposes
Work-back obligation: Bursary recipients are required to work back at VWGA for the equivalent number of years funded.
Who are Eligible to Apply Volkswagen Group Africa (VWGA) Bursary 2026
- Must be a South African citizen
- Registered for full-time undergraduate studies in 2026 at an accredited institution
- Academic performance:
- Grade 12 (Matric): Bachelor’s Pass with a minimum average of 70%
- Tertiary students: Minimum average of 65%
